In 1952, the company’s corner stone was laid as the Kraftverkehr Waldheim, Waldheim Truck Freight, Company. After incorporating in 1990, with a name change and consolidation of certain segments; the Kraftverkehr Waldheim GmbH, Waldheim Truck Freight, Inc. has remained a pure truck freight operation. 

In 1992, the Meidel family, together with the former Kraftverkehr Waldheim GmbH’s chief operating officer, Wolfgang Roemer, founded the WSG, Waldheimer Speditionsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG as the second enterprise of the Meidel Group.
